We don't profess to know everything about every school but we will be happy to assist you in trying to find help for your child. We will research any school that you are interested in and help you with the admission of your child. Help with placement in a school outside of our approved network of schools can be completed for a $2,000 fee. This is less than most Education Consultants charge for the same service. If you desire, we can fly a representative to the school of your choice, for an additional fee, and do a full on-site inspection.
We have designed a facility checklist to use when we visit a school or program. This allows us to key in on any potential trouble spots. We have a network of schools that we are currently working with that either have no admission fee or the fee is included in their price structure. When it comes to placing your child it is wise to spend some extra time researching any potential placement options. Nothing is worse than feelings of doubt about the placement you have made. If you are able to visit a potential facility do it.
If you have met the staff and some of the students and have seen with your own eyes what the program is like you will sleep much better at night. Most teens will try to manipulate their parents and have you believe that they are being abused. If you have met the director and feel comfortable with him it will be easier for you to dismiss any such claims. One other important criteria to consider is how often you will be able to talk to your child. Some schools and program make the child earn the privilege to call home; this can take several months to accomplish in some cases. Just to reiterate, the best way to know your child is in a safe place is to visit the school before you leave your child there.
